Things to do in Bandhavgarh National Park during wildlife tour

1. Bandhavgarh Fort: The fort has unforeseen things to explore left by various dynasties. Though there is no proof or records about how old the fort is, this is believed to be 2000 years old and this is mentioned in the ancient books of Narad-Panch Ratna and Shiva Purana. From first century AD, various dynasties ruled over the fort. Maghas, Vakatakas, and Kalchuries are the name of few.

2. Baghel Museum: The museum is located around 100 meters from the park. The park houses several stuffs of Maharaja of Rewa who uses the forests of Bandhavgarh as his Shikargah for several years. A stuffed white tiger – Mohan is the main tourist attraction, which was first spotted by Maharaja.

2. Tala Village: Get the glimpse of slow-paced, typical Indian village life which changes its look with the rhythm of weather.

3. Mahaman Pond: The pond is covered by Bamboo clumps. Since this is known to quench the thirst, a large number of herbivorous and carnivorous can be spotted over there.

4. Ketkiha - Pendanus Point: The real treasure of forest wealth houses lofty shadows of jamun and arjun trees along with aromatic kewra “Pendanus”.

5. Climber’s Point: Along with massive number of Sal trees, there are lots of natural splendors give panoramic views to the visitors and climbers.

6. Bari Gufa: Being the largest manmade cave and the ancient monument, this was constructed in tenth century.
7. Three Cave Point: Visible from Ganesh hillock, this is the favorite spot for archeologists and the visitors too.

Weather conditions in the park
There are three types of seasons that park explores – winters from October middle to February end, summers from the middle of March to June, and monsoons from middle of June to October end. From the middle of June to September, the park receives median rainfall of 1173 mm every year. In the summer months of May and June, the temperature rises up by 107 Degree Fahrenheit and falls down by 39 Degree Fahrenheit during winter months. So, you should wear light cotton clothes of natural colors during summers along with sunhats and sunglasses. In winters, carry some warm clothes because mornings are very chilly here.

Accommodation
When it comes to the accommodation in the park, there are no services available except a trekker’s nature camp. For accommodation, Umaria city is flooded with resorts and hotels. You can also go through eco-friendly resorts from where you can bring back unforgettable experience of accommodation into your home. You can reach hotels directly from station by taking quick drive of 30 minutes by any public transport or private vehicles. All in all, Bandhavgarh gives fantastic tourism experience.
