Bandhavgarh: The home of exotic flora and fauna with unbelievable conservation history

The Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve got its official name from the highest hill Bandhavgarh of 807m of the Vindhyachal ranges and Satpura ranges on its eastern flank. About Geographical location of the park
In the part of the national reserve, there are about 32 hills and the largest one house a large Bandhavgarh Fort. Sal Forest covers about half of the area and the upper slope is covered by the mixture of saj, sal, dhobin and saja. During the winter months from November to mid February, the temperature is freezing at night and about 68 Degree Fahrenheit during daytime. The nights of summer are cooler than daytime and the temperature rises up by 104 Degree Fahrenheit. From July to October, the park gets closed because the park experiences the average rainfall of about 120 cm (50 inches).
