Founded
in the year 1968, the national park of Bandhavgarh was enhanced and extended in
1986. In 1993, the national park was nicknamed as Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve.
Spread around 168 sq. miles (44884 hectares or 437 sq. km.), Bandhavgarh is the
region where first white tiger was spotted and the birthplace of Maharaja of
Rewa who ruled the whole area from Bandhavgarh Fort. Here the hunting was
banned and has been known as the Tiger Reserve.
Bandhavgarh National Park
Most
endangered species of wild animals live in the national park and can be spotted
